Winning the War in Your Mind

1. Most of life’s battles are won or lost in your mind.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (ESV)
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (ESV)
5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

2. Our lives are always moving in the direction of our strongest thoughts.

Proverbs 23:7 (ESV)
7 for he is like one who is inwardly calculating.[a]
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
but his heart is not with you.

3. The life we have is a reflection of the thoughts we think.

4. You cannot have a positive life when you have a negative mind.

  • A. Identify the biggest stronghold holding you back.
  • B. Name the truth that demolishes that stronghold.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
2 Peter 1:3 (NIV)
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
