Living for the APPROVAL of people keeps you from the PURPOSES Of God.

Hebrews 11:24-266 (ESV)
24 By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.

Purpose eliminates DISTRACTIONS.

Nehemiah 6:3-46 (ESV)
3 And I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” 4 And they sent to me four times in this way, and I answered them in the same manner.

Purpose pushes you through the PAIN.

Hebrews 12:26 (ESV)
2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggle, and a reward for your faithfulness. Trust Him and don’t give up!

Purpose empowers you to PLEASE GOD.

Acts 5:27-286 (ESV)
27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, 28 saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.”

We can’t please EVERYONE, but we can please GOD!

29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
